Structure and working principle of laser engraving machine

1. Structure: laser engraving machine: it includes a laser and a gas nozzle on its output light path. One end of the gas nozzle is a window and the other end is a nozzle coaxial with the laser light path. The side of the gas nozzle is connected with a gas pipe, especially the gas pipe is connected with air or oxygen source, the pressure of the air or oxygen source is 0.1-0.3mpa, and the inner wall of the nozzle is It is cylindrical in shape, with a diameter of 1.2-3mm and a length of 1-8mm; the oxygen in the oxygen source accounts for 60% of its total volume; a mirror is arranged on the optical path between the laser and the gas nozzle. It can improve the efficiency of carving, make the surface smooth and mellow, rapidly reduce the temperature of the carved non-metallic materials, reduce the deformation and internal stress of the carved objects; it can be widely used in the field of fine carving of various non-metallic materials.

 

2. Working principle of laser engraving machine:

 

1) Lattice engraving lattice engraving is similar to high-definition dot matrix printing. The laser head swings left and right, and carves a line composed of a series of points at a time. Then the laser head moves up and down at the same time to carve out multiple lines, and finally forms a whole page of image or text. The scanned graphics, text and vectorized text can be carved by dot matrix.

 

2) Vector cutting is different from dot matrix engraving. Vector cutting is carried out on the outer contour of graphics and text. We usually use this mode to cut through wood, acrylic grain, paper and other materials. We can also mark on the surface of various materials.

 

3) Engraving speed: engraving speed refers to the speed at which the laser head moves, usually expressed in IPS (inches per second). High speed brings high production efficiency. Speed is also used to control the depth of the cut. For a specific laser intensity, the slower the speed, the greater the depth of cutting or engraving. You can use the engraving machine panel to adjust the speed, or you can use the computer’s print driver to adjust the speed. In the range of 1% to 100%, the adjustment is 1%. 4) Engraving intensity: engraving intensity refers to the intensity of laser on the material surface. For a specific engraving speed, the greater the intensity, the greater the depth of cutting or engraving. You can use the engraving machine panel to adjust the intensity, or you can use the computer’s print driver to adjust the intensity. In the range of 1% to 100%, the adjustment is 1%. The greater the intensity, the greater the speed. The deeper the cut is.

 

5) Spot size: the spot size of laser beam can be adjusted by lens with different focal length. Small spot lenses are used for high resolution engraving. The lens with large light spot is used for engraving with lower resolution, but it is the best choice for vector cutting. The standard configuration for the new device is a 2.0-inch lens. Its spot size is in the middle, suitable for various occasions.

 

6) Carving materials: wood products, plexiglass, metal plate, glass, stone, crystal, Corian, paper, double color board, alumina, leather, resin, plastic spraying metal.
